Artopia is a charity art fundraising event that benefits Big Bend Cares. Local and regional artists donate their artwork for this event, which includes a few signed and numbered limited editions. The event will be held on Saturday, June 24th 2017 at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.
We need about 10 people to help us set up for the event at the Donald L Tucker Civic Center starting at 9 am until 2pm. This involves arranging art pieces and plants, setting up tables, etc.
We need about 5 more people to help during the event at the Donald L Tucker Civic Center starting at 5 pm through the end of the event at 10 pm. This involves supervising art galleries, assisting guests with the bidding process, helping approve winners to pick up their pieces when the auction is over. This shift may require a short training session. Volunteers must wear formal/semi-formal clothes, in black and/or red. No sneakers, flip flops, etc! If interested in this shift please contact Kathryn Bachman at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
We need another group of 15 people to help clean up after the event. Volunteers should be at the Civic Center at 9 pm, and plan to stay until we finish (somewhere around 11pm-12am). The more people we have, the faster it will get done!
It is imperative that you commit to staying the entire duration of your shift to ensure that we all work as a team to get it done efficiently and correctly! All volunteers are required to sign in and out, especially if they want their hours approved. It is mandatory for volunteers to stay for the entire duration of the assigned shift in order to receive approval for hours. Groups or individuals are welcome to sign up, please just contact Kathryn Bachman at email@example.com to arrange this. Lastly, when signing up for any of the above shifts please make note of which shifts you are interested in.
