Damayan Garden Project

Who We Are

We currently maintain several gardens in Leon County and host weekly gardening sessions at the Frenchtown - Laverne Payne Community Center Garden. This garden serves as a valuable demonstration of the benefits of community gardens through the sharing of food sovereignty.

Damayan enables pragmatic change toward a sustainable future.

What We Do

Damayan Garden Project is a local, non-profit organization made up of gardeners, students, educators and enthusiastic volunteers that strive to enhance the quality of life in our community by teaching sustainability through local, organic food production.

Our mission is to sow the seeds of ecological awareness and healthy living in our community through hands-on gardening activities. We believe that everyone should have reliable access to fresh, nutritious food, and that health and well-being comes with eating locally grown, seasonal food.
